The EL/L-8300 is an airborne, long-range, highly sophisticated signal intelligence (SIGINT) system, capable of extracting both electronic intelligence (ELINT) and communications intelligence (COMINT).

It is installed in specially converted Boeing 707s and combines airborne subsystems such as the EL /L-8312A ELINT ESM system and EL/K-7032 airborne COMINT system (see separate database entries) with ground-based exploitation and analysis subsystems.
