The ECLIPSE (Economic Compact Lightweight Pointer-Tracker System) is a stabilized two-axis pointer-tracker designed to serve as part of a directed infrared countermeasure (DIRCM) system. The system consists of a sensor head assembly and an electronics unit. Selex Galileo has teamed with Northrop Grumman to supply the ECLIPSE as part of an affordable, lightweight DIRCM for helicopters. The British and U.S. military have evaluated the system.
