The Caiman is a large, pod-mounted system carried on a centerline hardpoint or wing pylon.
Two on-board barrage jammers using backward-wave oscillators can jam surveillance and airborne command and control radars and radar guidance links to air-to-air missiles.
The jammers have an effective radiated power (ERP) of 15 kW and a bandwidth of 1 GHz. Each jammer operating in the I band has a power output of 250 watts; when operating in the L band (50 GHz), the output is 1 kW. ...
