The AN/APR-39(V) is an omni-directional radar warning receiver (RWR) fitted in helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. The APR-39 also has naval applications on fast patrol boats.
The system can determine the frequency, pulse repetition frequency (PRF), pulse-width, persistence and threshold power level of surface-to-air missile and anti-aircraft radars.
