The AN/ALR-69 radar warning receiver (RWR) was developed as an update of the AN/ALR-46 for aircraft use. The improvements involved the addition of a frequency-selective receiver system (FSRS) and a low-band missile alert receiver designated the AN/ALR-64 Compass Sail.
