The AN/ALR-64 (Compass Sail) is a low-band, aircraft missile alert receiver that detects and analyzes surface-to-air missile guidance emissions to warn the pilot of the direction and nature of the threat. The ALR-64 consists of an antenna and an amplifier/detector and is part of the ALR-69 (Compass Tie) radar warning receiver system.
