The AN/ALQ-131 is an airborne, electronic countermeasures (ECM) modular-jamming pod, canister-contained, that targets anti-aircraft radars. It was developed from the AN/ALQ-119 to meet later U.S. Air Force specifications for an advanced noise/deception jamming system.
It has been upgraded – with the original systems designated Block I and modifications designated Block II.
The ALQ-131 has 16 different structural configurations to suit various platforms and threat scenarios....
