The AN/ALQ-108 is a pod-mounted device that jams identification-friend-or-foe (IFF) transmissions. The system is used in fixed-wing aircraft including anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and electronic intelligence (ELINT) platforms.
The major components of the ALQ-108 are a receiver/processor, transmitter and control indicator.
