The POET (primed oscillator expendable transmitter) is a jammer/decoy designed to be dropped from a variety of airborne electronic countermeasures (ECM) dispensers.

After being launched, the POET intercepts radar signals from radar-guided missiles or ground-based radars, and transmits an amplified return -- thus decoying the incoming missiles.

POET employs a single antenna for transmitting and receiving with the ALE-29 and -39 countermeasures dispenser.
