The AN/GRC-231A(V)2 is part of the Harris family of RF-5000 Digital HF Falcon transceiver systems. The basic AN/GRC-231A(V)2 (RF-5000V-125A) is a solid-state HF-SSB vehicular based transceiver, with a 125-watt power amplifier. Its counterpart, the AN/URC-1294(V)1 (RF-5000T-125A), is a transportable version of the same system for use in both vehicles and in temporary fixed locations.
