The ARC-201 is the airborne element of the single-channel ground and airborne radio system-VHF (SINCGARS-V) and was the first airborne VHF/FM frequency-hopping radio. The ARC-201 is intended to replace several VHF radios in use in U.S. Army aircraft. There are three versions of the ARC-201 (see "Variants").
