The ARC-201 is the airborne element of the single-channel ground and airborne radio system-VHF (SINCGARS-V) and was the first airborne VHF/FM frequency-hopping radio. The ARC-201 is intended to replace several VHF radios in use in U.S. Army aircraft.
There are three versions of the ARC-201 (see "Variants"). Six of the modules used are identical to those in the SINCGARS ground radio system including: VHF tuner, synthesizer, ECCM module, switch module, 12.5 MHz IF...
