The EL/M-2060 is a podded synthetic aperture radar/ground moving target indication (SAR/GMTI) reconnaissance system. It comes in two variants -- the EL/M-2060P designed for tactical combat aircraft and the EL/M-2060T for cargo aircraft (see "Variants," below).

The EL/M-2060P consists of a detachable pod containing the SAR/GMTI system, which is mounted externally on the host aircraft; a ground exploitation station (GES); and a two-direction data link.
