The Cyrano family of French radars was developed as the standard air interception radar for the Mirage family of aircraft.
All radars in the series use a 22-in (570-mm) diameter inverted Cassegrain antenna with monopulse scanning and energized by a coaxial magnetron. The system is liquid-cooled and carried within a pressurized radome.
