The Blue Kestrel is an airborne radar system being designed for helicopters. It is installed in the Anglo-Italian EH 101 Merlin helicopter.
Blue Kestrel supports anti-submarine warfare (ASW), anti-surface vessel (ASV ), surveillance, navigation and search-and-rescue roles. It also aids a missile-equipped parent vessel by providing over-the-horizon targeting.
