The Airborne Targeting Low-Altitude Navigation Thermal Imaging and Cueing (ATLANTIC) sensor was designed as a forward-looking infrared (FLIR) system for attack aircraft.
ATLANTIC consists of a thermal-imaging sensor and a signal-processor unit. These two components were already in production for the U.S. Marine Corps AV-8B Harrier II , the Royal Air Force's (RAF) Tornado and Harrier aircraft.
