The AN/ALR-45 radar warning receiver and control system entered service with the U.S. Navy in 1970. It replaced the analog APR-25 /26 crystal video receivers, the original ALR-45 controls crystal video receivers and azimuth indicator with a hardwired digital processor. It has been replaced with the AN/ALR-67 in most active aircraft.
