The Yu-7 is a lightweight anti-submarine warfare (ASW) torpedo developed by China for helicopters, patrol aircraft and surface ships. The weapon is derived from the Italian A244/S lightweight torpedo. It is being supplanted in Chinese service by the improved Yu-11.
The Yu-7 measures is 8 ft 10 in (2.7 m) long with a diameter of 13 in (324 mm) and a launch weight of 520 lb (235 kg). It is armed with a 100-lb (45-kg) shaped-charge warhead.
