A244 lightweight torpedo

The A244 is the Italian navy's standard lightweight, 12.75-in (324-mm), anti-submarine torpedo, which can be launched from either aircraft or from the surface-ship ILAS-3 triple launcher.

It is similar to the U.S. Mk 44 torpedo. Differences include an onboard programmable digital computer, a lower acoustic signature and superior shallow-water capability.
