Sting Ray

The Sting Ray is an advanced lightweight torpedo used in British surface ships and anti-submarine aircraft and helicopters. It can be air-dropped into water as shallow as 148 ft (45 m), and reportedly can operate at depths greater than 2,685 ft (800 m). When air-launched, the Sting Ray is stabilize d by a small, drogue parachute that positions the torpedo for the best water-entry angle.
