The CBU-97/B Sensor Fuzed Weapon (SFW) is a cluster munition. U.S. Air Force doctrine calls for weapon to be used to halt or hold an enemy's main armored force in the event of a major regional conflict, thereby providing time for other U.S. forces to arrive in the theater.
