The CBU-89/B Gator mine cluster bomb contains a mix of anti-tank and anti-personnel munitions in an SUU-64 tactical munitions dispenser. The system can quickly emplace minefields for area-denial missions and effectively divert or immobilize moving ground forces.

Arming begins with the opening of the dispenser, scattering 72 anti-tank and 22 anti-personnel mines over a wide area. Dispersal is determined by the speed and altitude of the aircraft using the weapon.
