The CBU-87/B combined effects munition (CEM) is used to attack soft targets with the BLU-97/B combined effects bomb (CEB). The weapon consists of a SW-65 tactical munitions dispenser (TMD) or SUU-65B canister, 202 BLU-97/B CEBs and an optional FZU-39 proximity fuze.
