The AGM-154 Joint Standoff Weapon (JSOW) was jointly developed by the U.S. Air Force and Navy to provide day, night and adverse weather environment munition-delivery capability. The JSOW has several variants (AGM-154A, AGM-154A-1, AGM-154B and AGM-154C). Development was shared between the Navy and the Air Force. It was designed to replace a variety of air-to-ground weapons including the AGM-62 Walleye, AGM-123 Skipper and AGM-65 Maverick.
