The Fiber-Optic Guided Missile (FOG-M) was a U.S. Army weapon designed to destroy hidden tanks and hovering helicopters. Originally developed by the U.S. Army Missile Command's (MICOM) laboratory as an anti-tank weapon, FOG-M was to be the non-line-of-sight (NLOS) component of the Army's Forward Area Air Defense System (FAADS) as well as the replacement for the TOW anti-tank missile.
