The Hedgehog was a post-World War II anti-submarine warfare (ASW) mortar. When in service, the Hedgehog fired 24 impact-fuzed rounds into an elliptical or circular pattern. The system was stabilized and traversible.
status
No longer in service.
Initial operational capability (IOC) was reached in the late 1940s.
The Hedgehog was formerly in service with Brazil, Burma, Chile, Greece, Indonesia, Iran, Portugal, Taiwan, Thailand, Turkey and Vietnam.
