The MARCbot (an acronym for the multifunctional, agile, remote-controlled robotic system) is used to help identify improvised explosive devices (IEDs). MARCbot is a small, four-wheel vehicle, about the size of a large Tonka truck, with a video camera.

It is not intended, as originally designed, to be a weaponized uncrewed ground vehicle (UGV). Rather, it allows soldiers to stand off from suspected IEDs.
