The Meerkat is a 6 x 6 vehicle designed for nuclear, biological and chemical (NBC) contamination missions. It was a privately funded program by NBC-Sys, a subsidiary of France's Nexter, and has been selected as a demonstrator for the French army's NRBC (NBC plus radiation) program Perseides, which aims to solve logistical problems posed by materials that are not easily deployed in urban areas.
