The M3A3 BFIST (Bradley fire support team) enables company fire support teams and company fire support officers to use the Bradley as an integrated fire support platform. The vehicle embeds the BFIST package found on the M7 Bradley fire support vehicle (see separate record) with the M3A3 (see separate record of the M3 Bradley cavalry fighting vehicle for basic description).
The M3A3 BFIST supports timely, accurate indirect artillery and mortar fire, even on the move.
