The Caiman is an armored vehicle, based on the Family of Medium Tactical Vehicles (FMTV) chassis, that was developed for the mine-resistant, ambush-protected (MRAP) vehicle program in the U.S.

It is designed to defeat current and emerging threats on the battlefield, while limiting its logistics footprint by maximizing commonality with vehicles already in service. The vehicle comes in 4 x 4 and 6 x 6 variants.
