The Blast-Resistant Vehicle-Off Road (BRV-O) was AM General's contender for the U.S. Army and Marine Corps Joint Light Tactical Vehicle (JLTV) program. The project aimed to replace the military's aging fleet of Humvees. The company claimed that the design exceeded 100 percent of the program evaluation criteria. The Light Combat Tactical All-Terrain Vehicle (L-ATV) developed by Oshkosh Defense was ultimately selected for the JLTV program (see separate record).
