The XP2 is a demonstrator developed by the French state-owned Nexter company to demonstrate its ability to innovate with armored vehicles. It is a 6 x 6 vehicle in the 20-ton class.
The vehicle was developed as a contender for France's Vehicule Blinde Multi-Role (VBMR) program, seen as a replacement for the VAB troop carrier.
