The FV511 Warrior mechanized combat vehicle is a light armored vehicle intended to supplant the FV432 armored personnel carrier (APC) in British service. Development of the definitive Warrior design was begun in the mid-1970s by GKN Defense as the MCV-80; GKN was later awarded contracts for 1,053 production vehicles.
