The German 4 x 4 UR 416 is a light armored car used primarily for internal security. It is similar to the French ACMAT in that many of its automotive components are taken directly from commercial vehicles, simplifying repairs.
If necessary, the armored body can be lifted off the chassis and driven away.
The armored body sides, glacis and rear face slope inward, giving the vehicle a "squared-turtle" shape. The driver and commander have windshields in the glacis that can be protected...
