The Ratel 6 x 6 infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) serves as the basis for a family of vehicles, all sharing the same hull design, but equipped with various main armaments for the diverse missions of the South African army. South Africa is replacing its Ratels with Badger 8 x 8 vehicles (see separate record).
