The Buffel (Buffalo) 4 x 4 armored personnel carrier (APC) -- arguably the ugliest combat vehicle ever produced -- is based on a former West German Unimog 416-162 chassis, though it has a unique appearance that emphasizes anti-mine protection and mobility in bushy terrain.
