LVT-4 (Landing Vehicle, Tracked-4)

The LVT-4 (Landing Vehicle, Tracked) was basically a later version of the LVT-2 amphibious tractor with the addition of a stern ramp. The LVT-4 was an open-top vehicle having an armored cab with four small vision blocks. Earlier versions of the LVT-4 had a cab identical to that of the LVT-2 with two large windscreens and two smaller side vision blocks. The later LVT-4s also had driver port shutters and plexiglass domes. Later versions lacked the driver's periscope.
