The Italian Otomatic air defense system had a modified 76-mm/62-caliber Super Rapido naval gun fitted in a turret on a modified Palmaria self-propelled gun chassis. Had it been fielded, the Otomatic would have carried the heaviest caliber anti-aircraft (AA) gun of any air defense vehicle (its nearest competitor would be the dated Russian ZSU-57-2).
