The 155-mm M-68 gun/howitzer is towed on a four-wheel carriage and stabilized in the firing position with split trials.

The recoil mechanism is under the barrel with the counter-recoil mechanism on top. The equilibrators are on either side of the barrel and the elevating wheel is on the left side of the carriage. The barrel is fitted with a single-baffle muzzle brake and fume extractor.
