The 155-mm Panzerhaubitze 2000 (PzH 2000) is an advanced artillery system that meets the NATO requirement of a range up to 19 mi (30 km) using NATO standard ammunition.
The PzH 2000 was considered the most advanced follow-on system for armored cannon artillery when it entered service in the late 1990s. It replaced Germany's M109 self-propelled howitzers and became the new standard gun for future artillery needs in the German army.
