The Majnoon is a 6 x 6 self-propelled 155-mm howitzer (SPH) strongly resembling the South African G6 vehicle, but with some unique features.
The articulated vehicle is divided into two units that are joined by a pivot at the top of the hull between the powerplant and the turret. Movement is lateral only and is limited by the drive shaft connecting the powerpack to the two rear drive axles.
