The Khalifa GHY02 is a 122-mm self-propelled howitzer system based on Sudan's towed Khalifa 122-mm gun. The latter is based on the Russian D-30 towed howitzer. The self-propelled gun is designed for rapid-response artillery missions.
The howitzer is mounted on a modified Kamaz 43118 6 x 6 truck with a domestically developed, protected four-door cab. To the rear is the complete upper part of the Khalifa howitzer mounted on a turntable, which fires over the frontal arc. Two...
