Mk 42 Mod 9/10 naval gun

The Mk 42 Mod 10 gun mount is a fully automated, single-barrel dual-loading system that stows, loads, aims and fires 5-inch/54-caliber ammunition. The weapon has a maximum firing rate in excess of 30 rounds per minute and a range of more than 25,000 yards in surface mode. The mounts are linked to t he Mk 68 Mod 19 gun fire-control system.
