81-mm Soltam mortar

The Soltam 81-mm mortar is capable of both towed and mounted transport on an M3 half-track. On the half-track, the mortar is placed on a turntable with a 360-degree traverse. There are four versions of this mortar: the standard, with a one-piece or split barrel, and the long-range with similar one-piece and split barrels.

The 81-mm Soltam mortar design is derived from Finnish Tampella designs and utilizes a large number of off-the-shelf items.
