The Finnish M-38 81-mm mortar was a drop-fired weapon of conventional design. It was supported by a circular baseplate and bipod. The bipod leg spread was limited by a chain connecting the legs. The traversing handle was mounted midway down the left leg. The elevation handle was located at the top of the bipod, as was the sight.

Initial operational capability (IOC) in the late 1950s. No longer in production or service.
