The Common Remotely Operated Weapon Station (CROWS) is a two-axis stabilized (azimuth and elevation) gunner-operated weapon system. CROWS permits a gunner to effectively engage targets from a moving vehicle. CROWS can be mounted on several vehicles -- including the M1114 up-armored HMMWV (armored s couts/military police version), M1116 up-armored HMMWV (U.S. Air Force variant) and M1117 Armored Security Vehicle (for military police).
