The German Mauser Mk 25 Model E 25-mm automatic cannon was developed as a replacement for the Rheinmetall Mk20 Rh202 20-mm gun in the Marder armored personnel carrier (APC).

Although not yet deployed, the weapon can be adapted to a wide variety of mounts and will probably appear in various vehicles, towed configurations, aircraft and naval mounts.
