This is the main armament for the T-62 main battle tank.

The gun fires armor-piercing, fin-stabilized, discarding-sabot (APFSDS); fin-stabilized high-explosive; anti-tank (HEAT-FS); and FS high-explosive fragmentation (HE-FRAG-FS) rounds. Two-plane stabilization equipment is used with the U-5TS.
