The Rapid Airborne Mine Clearance System (RAMICS) was a helicopter-mounted gun system designed to neutralize surface and near-surface naval mines. It utilized the Mk 44 Bushmaster II 30-mm cannon firing special supercavitating rounds. Following development, the system was to be integrated with MH-60S Seahawk helicopters. The entire system consisted of the Mk 44 gun, Mk 258 Mod 1 ammunition, targeting sensor subsystem, fire-control subsystem and software.
