Derived from the Cessna OV-1, the SM1019 was a light utility aircraft formerly used by the Italian army.
The SM1019 had a conventional design, featuring a two-stage wing, with half of each wing straight and the other half double-tapered; a nose-mounted turboprop engine; a two-stage, relatively high single tailfin set above a tailplane with rounded control surfaces; conventional landing gear; and an extensively glazed cabin.
