The Do 27 was a German light utility/liaison aircraft, one of the earliest postwar exports of the German air industry.
The Do 27 had a conventional design, featuring a straight wing set high just forward of the fuselage mid-point, a cabin directly below the wing, nose-mounted piston engine, conventional landing gear and a swept tailfin with rudder. The tailplane was inset at the base of the tailfin.
